Shade Matching Light - Page 1

|
Shade Matching
is critical, for any practice, for both ceramics and composites. The type of light
has an important role in achieving proper matches. Even color correct overhead
lights, with output close to sunlight, can give mismatched shades. The light bounces
of the walls, floors, and clothes, and distorts the shade
(normally called "Color Noise").Ok,

You would have the patient remove the lipstick and you would
put a gray or white bib over her blue dress. Then get a second opinion from your
assistant. |

In the book
"Metal - Ceramics" by Yamamoto, it is suggested that ceramic labs and
operatories should be neutral gray. This is why the "Shade Wand" is gray.
You see gray to neutralize your eyes. Many other articles have been written
about color correct lights for shade matching. Shade matching lights are a must for every
dental office. The "Shade Wand"
comes with 3 types of mounting (shown in this photo is the wall mount). The cord has
a 15' reach.
For more information, look below. |
The Shade Wand is lightweight and compact, to
be held in the hand and mounted close by. The light is a 5500 K bulb which generates
perfect light including the UV spectrum, and is easy to change when needed.
Each light comes with a step-by-step procedure
guide for taking perfect shade matches.
It normally sells for a list price of $179, but
many of you have recently seen it on sale at conventions for $99.95. Compare
it to lights in your catalogs for $200 and up.
We have negotiated a special price for this Web
Site from the manufacturer. We can offer it to you for only $85. Now you can
put one in each operatory.
